A torque limiter protects a drive from overload. A sprocket, gear or pulley is clamped between spring-loaded friction faces; when the required torque exceeds the set value the centre member slips, and it re-engages by itself once the overload clears — nothing has to be replaced or reset, unlike a shear pin.
The slip torque is set with the adjusting nut or bolts. The product page lists torque range, bore sizes and overall dimensions for each model. Send us your shaft size and required slip torque for a recommendation.
